This website is owned and operated by GlassBox Verification Services, LLC dba GlassBox Verified (“GlassBox,” "we," "us," or "our"). We respect and protect the privacy of visitors to our website, our Authorized Capital Advisors, and the Borrowers whose data interacts with our platform.

This Privacy Policy describes our information handling practices when you access our services, which include our content located on glassboxverified.com, our white-label intake portals, our Advisor Dashboard, API, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

GlassBox is a Capital Advisory Infrastructure Platform. We assist business advisors in accessing, managing, and routing capital for their clients. Our Privacy Policy applies to everyone who utilizes our Sites, including Advisors, Borrowers, and Lenders.

By using our Services, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with the data practices described in this policy, you should not use the Services.

1. Types of Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

GlassBox collects information to verify identities, underwrite loan requests, and facilitate business financing. "Personal Information" is information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with a particular individual or household.

1.2 Categories of Information

We may collect the following categories of information depending on whether you are an Advisor or a Borrower:

  • Identity Data: Full name, date of birth, social security number (SSN), driver’s license or passport details.

  • Contact Data: Home/business address, email address, phone number.

  • Business Data: Employer Identification Number (EIN), articles of incorporation, beneficial ownership details, industry type, and time in business.

  • Financial Data: Bank statements, tax returns, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, credit scores, and business invoices.

  • Transaction Data: Details about payments to/from GlassBox (e.g., subscription fees or commissions).

  • Verification Data: Data originating from third-party identity or fraud prevention services used to validate your application.

1.3 Device/Digital Information

We automatically collect information when you interact with our Sites, including:

  • Online Identifiers: IP address, browser type, device ID, and geolocation.

  • Usage Data: Click-stream data, pages viewed, and interaction with white-label portals.

1.4 Third-Party Information

We may obtain information about you from third-party sources to verify identity and creditworthiness:

  • Credit Bureaus: We may access your credit report (with consent) to match you with lenders.

  • Financial Data Partners: We utilize services (such as Plaid or Ocrolus) to connect to your bank accounts or parse financial documents.

2. How Information is Collected

  • Directly from You: When you complete an application, upload documents to our Data Room, or sign up as an Advisor.

  • From Your Advisor: If you are a Borrower, your Advisor (our client) may input your data into the GlassBox platform on your behalf.

  • From Third Parties: Credit bureaus, data aggregators, and identity verification services.

3. How Your Information is Used

We use your information to:

  1. Provide Services: Verify identity, structure loan packages, and route applications to our Lender Network.

  2. Verify & Underwrite: Analyze financial health to determine eligibility for financing.

  3. Process Payments: Collect subscription fees from Advisors or pay commissions.

  4. Detect Fraud: Use AI/ML models to detect forged documents or identity theft.

  5. Comply with Law: Meet KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) requirements.

  6. Improve Platform: Analyze usage trends to enhance our intake workflows and Advisor tools.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to marketing lists. We share data only as necessary to facilitate financing:

4.1 Financing Providers (Lenders)

We share Borrower data with banks, credit unions, and commercial lenders ("Lender Network") to obtain loan offers. Once data is shared with a Lender, their use of your info is governed by their privacy policy.

4.2 Service Providers

We share data with vendors who help us operate, such as:

  • Cloud Hosting: (e.g., AWS, Azure)

  • ID Verification: (e.g., Persona, Socure)

  • Financial Parsing: (e.g., Ocrolus, Plaid)

  • CRM & Communication: (e.g., Salesforce, Twilio)

4.3 Legal Requirements

5. Security

GlassBox employs industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, to protect your data. We maintain a secure Data Room for sensitive document storage. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you provide data at your own risk.

6. Your Rights & Choices

6.1 Access & Correction

You may log in to your account to update your profile. Borrowers may contact their Advisor to update loan application data.

6.2 Opt-Out of Marketing

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in the footer. Note: You cannot opt-out of transactional emails related to your active loan application or subscription.

6.3 Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account by contacting privacy@glassboxverified.com. Note: We are required by banking regulations to retain certain loan application data for a set period (typically 2-7 years) even after account closure. We cannot delete data that we are legally required to keep.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Right to Know: Request categories of PI we have collected.

  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of PI (subject to regulatory retention exemptions).

  • Right to Opt-Out: Opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of PI for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Services are B2B and commercial in nature. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18.
